The War In The Pacific

THE WAR IN THE PACIFIC
Lyrics by Bud Monaco; Music by Joe Jammer

Boatswain's Mate Of The Watch Sound The General Alarm. General Quarters, General Quarters.
All Hands Man Your Battle Stations. This Is Not A Drill !!!!!!
'Oh Rock of Ages We Got Ourselves Another War; A Gut Busting Mother Loving Navy War'

On a Pacific Winter Sunday morning in the heart of Pearl Harbor
Tojo's people from the Far East started another bloody war
Nagumo's Fleet attacked America from the Land Of The Rising Sun
A date which will live in Infamy - December 7, 1941,,,,,,America, America

Bombs fell on our Pacific Fleet all across Battleship Row
Our sailors and our soldiers dying they had no way to know
With anger and honor in their hearts they started fighting back
Into the blue Pacific America took the attack,,,,,,America, America

Into the breech our fleet attacked the islands one by one
Americans fought and took them back every soldier raised his gun
Midway, Wake, Tarawa, Bougainville, Guam and Saipan
Guadacanal and Iwo Jima, Rabaul back to Bataan,,,,,,America, America

Aleutian, Gilbert, Marshall, Solomon Islands under our guns
Burma, Okinawa then to the Land Of The Rising Sun
McArthur said 'I will return' and fight with American sons
Liberating the Phillipines the war was nearly won,,,,,,America, America

Navy guns kept blazing in the Bismark and Coral Seas
Nothing could stop our Marines to make the Pacific free
Doolittle's bombers attacked Tokyo our hated enemy
Enola Gay with the Final Blow brought the Empire to its knees

Americans paid them back for their terrible war atrocities
They rang the bells of freedom all across the Pacific Seas
Aboard the Missouri Battleship they signed the peace treaty
American warriors held their heads up high for all the world to see,,,,,,America, America

Americans held their heads up high for all the world to see,,,,,,America, America
Americans held their heads up high for all the world to see,,,,,,America, America
