Patrick Kelly Biography PATRICK KELLY Patrick Kelly/Acoustic Disorder
Patrick Kelly has been playing for the last 10 years all over
the Chicagoland area. For the past 5 years he has played 2 to 3
times a month at 3 of the Cheeseburger In Paradise locations.
During his career he has played at weddings, benefits, clubs,
and private parties. He has joined with John Devlin to form the
Acoustic Disorder duo. Devlin plays an excellent lead and slide
guitar that compliment Kelly's driving rhythm guitar and
heartfelt vocals. John Devlin also plays the accordion for a
unique blend of Zydeco, country, and rock that sets this duo
apart from the others. In addition, John sings lead and harmony
vocals on many of the songs. As a 3 piece, John Metzger plays
percussion and sings harmonies as well as playing guitar.
Acoustic Disorder
performs a variety of Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Reggae,
Alternative Country, Zydeco, Blues, and R&B.

Patrick Kelly’s debut CD “Hearts In Mississippi” is a blend of alternative country and blues that define his unique style. Influenced by early country and folk music, Kelly has developed into a singer-songwriter who brings a wealth of emotion to his live performances. He covers a wide variety of music from blues, alternative, classic rock, early country and folk. “Hearts In Mississippi” was produced by Bobby Dunne, a musical legend on the south side of Chicago, and a prolific singer-songwriter in his own right. Dunne ‘discovered’ Kelly at Dunne’s acoustic open jam night at the Limerick Pub in Blue Island. Bobby Dunne describes Patrick Kelly as ‘one of his favorite performers to see.’ “Hearts In Mississippi” was recorded at PDS Recording Studio. The disc was mixed and engineered by Patrick Doody, a ten year veteran of the Lonnie Brooks Blues Band. Doody plays drums on three of the tracks and contributes his musical expertise to create the sound of a live performance. Also featured are Dale Vargus, a sensational lead guitarist and Roy DiGangi, who plays bass and harmonica. Kelly, who’s day job is teaching students with exceptional needs, finishes the disc with a solo acoustic performance inspired by one of his students. Over the past year Kelly has had a weekly gig at the Melting Pot Restaurant in Buffalo Grove, playing there three to four nights a week. Since the Melting Pot discontinued live music, he has been performing on the south side. He has recently appeared at The Forge, The Limerick Pub and Coyote’s Beer Garden in Oak Brook. In addition, Kelly has performed at private parties and weddings. Patrick Kelly is currently working with Sopro, Inc. and has been added to the great stable of musicians that Sopro represents.
